solopreneur

solopreneur (n.)

(1) A person who creates economic value outside a full-time employment contract.

Freelancers, private practitioners, creators and many artists are solopreneurs, though they often don’t think of themselves that way.

(2) Entrepreneurs who value creativity, authenticity, and autonomy over money and status.

Many solopreneurs identify as lifelong learners who see entrepreneurship as a path to a balanced, integrated work-life.
